The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) approved the new model law, after working with many groups including representatives of the pet insurance industry, NAPHIA, consumer interest groups and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
The new model law provides states regulators and legislators with a uniform framework for the regulation of pet insurance.
