With over two decades of executive leadership experience in the pet health insurance industry, Deborah Meyers has consistently demonstrated the ability to create adaptive organizations, spearhead cultural transformation, and lead diverse teams to new levels of success.
Deborah holds a master’s in leadership and is a graduate of the Lean Leader Academy at the Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University. She is Forrester certified in Mastering Customer Experience and holds an Evidence Based Coaching certification from Fielding Graduate University. As a seasoned Customer Experience, Sales, and Operations leader, Deborah spearheaded the first Customer Experience transformation initiative during her tenure at Nationwide Pet, integrating the disciplines of research, prioritization, design, and measurement to drive customer obsession. Deborah’s leadership experience includes spearheading a cultural transformation driving profitable growth through technology, process improvement, and business process outsourcing. She was an active NAPHIA Board Member from 2018-2024, including one term on the Executive Board as Secretary.
Deborah founded DM Publishing Ventures LLC, an organization focused on empowering individuals through leadership development and transformative communication strategies. Her upcoming book release on leadership and communication, How to Talk to Anyone: Communication Strategies to Unlock Networking Skills, Gain Confidence, and Master Conversations for Social and Professional Success, is a must-read for anyone looking to enhance their communication skills. It covers everything from first impressions and overcoming anxiety to embracing difficult conversations, leveraging the digital space, advanced interpersonal dynamics, and more.

Executive Director – CATalyst Council
Jane Brunt, DVM is the Executive Director of the CATalyst Council, whose mission is accelerating innovation in feline care to enhance the quality of life for cats, and their people. She is founder of Cat Hospital At Towson (CHAT), the first feline-exclusive veterinary hospital in Maryland. CHAT is AAHA-Accredited and maintains the top Gold Certificate for the American Association of Feline Practitioner (AAFP) Cat Friendly Practice program. She is a past president of AAFP, the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association, and is a career-long member of AVMA and remains active in leadership initiatives. She is a co-author of several peer-reviewed articles and textbooks contributions, and appears on LinkedIn, online, in podcasts and print to promote awareness of feline health and well-being to animal healthcare professionals and cat people… and those who will be in the future.

Scott Husmann
Director, Product Management, Anti-Fraud Analytics – Verisk
Having been with Verisk since October 2020, Scott Husmann is currently Product Leader for Emerging Markets and Pet Insurance.
An American multinational data analytics and risk assessment firm, Verisk Analytics, Inc. has customers spanning insurance, natural resources, financial services, government, and risk management sectors. Verisk delivers insurance solutions using advanced data analytics, technology, scientific research, and deep industry knowledge.
Prior to joining Verisk, Scott spent 12 years at USAA insurance in various roles including Product Management, Change Management and Operations Management.
Scott received his master’s in business administration (MBA) from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU) and his bachelor’s degree from California State University Sacramento (CSUS) in which he double majored in Finance and Risk Management. Scott completed the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) Program and is a Certified Product Manager through Association of International Product Marketing & Management (AIPMM).
Mildred Munjanganja
E-Commerce Executive – Allivet
Mildred Munjanganja is a passionate business executive with 17 years’ experience in E-commerce, B2B, Wholesale Distribution, Process Improvement, and Industrial Internet of Things. Mildred holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma. The first years of her career she led CableOrganizer.com, a B2B Online Electrical Retailer, in several executive leadership roles in E-commerce, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Amazon Marketplace.
She played a lead role in Merger and Acquisition transactions with a record of successful acquisition and integration. Thereafter she managed business development for a B2C Online Retailer in the supplement space, successfully launching the companies first ever Private Label Division, providing Customer Service Leadership and conducting a company-wide business health audit. She then took on the role of COO, leading the double-digit growth of an Electrical Distributor located in Las Vegas, then moved back to South Florida where she is building the business development organization for Allivet – a leading online retailer in the PetRx space.
