Christine Panet-Raymond, Willis Towers Watson
Christine Panet-Raymond started her career in 1994 at W. F. Corroon in employee benefits consulting and banking and insurance products. Since joining Avalon Actuarial in 1998 and becoming a Partner/Owner (since acquired and now Willis Towers Watson), Ms. Panet-Raymond developed a special expertise in the travel, credit card, and creditor insurance sectors, as well as in other affinity Life & Health and P&C insurance products, working in the design and implementation of such programs and their related financial arrangements.
In her current role as Executive Vice President, National Practice Leader – Affinity and Special Risks, she is responsible for overseeing the affinity insurance programs and special risks consulting practice, and the niche Insurance Market Survey division of Willis Towers Watson. The consulting services include competitive market analyses, insurance product design, pricing, underwriting criteria, insurance partner RFPs, claims and reserve analyses, financial arrangements and reinsurance, preparation of financial and actuarial reports, third party audits, and marketing of credit card, travel, and other affinity insurance programs, among other tasks. Her clients include banks and large financial institutions, credit card issuers, retailers, tour operators/airlines, insurance companies (and captives), industry and professional/trade associations and other affinity groups, etc. She also holds responsibility for the preparation of competitive insurance industry market surveys and benchmarking studies which are distributed to a number of large Canadian and foreign-based financial institutions, and Insurance Industry Associations, including NAPHIA which she has been working closely with for the last five years.
Ms. Panet-Raymond is recognized as a leading source of travel and credit card insurance expertise and has frequently been interviewed by several industry journals and newspapers and speaks at many international conferences. She graduated with distinction from Concordia University, obtaining a Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science. In 2005, she was awarded a Leadership Prize from the MS Society in recognition of her achievements in her field of expertise.
